Acrylics, here I come…

It’s time to embrace acrylics! In the spirit of experimentation, I took another Carla Sonheim online class to get an initial feel for the paints, how they interact, how fast they dry, how easily they layer, etc. Fellow artist Kari J Young introduced us to the Gelli plate at her artshare a couple of months ago. Below are three monotypes from last week’s mess making.

  1. Kim,

These are great! :). I also made some acrylic prints last week-end… My mom even got into the act… I’ll scan & share probably this week-end.

  3. I love the luscious combination of colors and the intrigue of entering the shapes visually, and the way they interact with each other. These are really remarkable.

I love these. Looks like you are having fun with acrylics. Live the sidewalk crack artwork. So creative.
