Sketch-A-Day HAWAI’I — Kealakekua Bay

You HAVE to snorkel Kealakekua Bay when you’re in Captain Cook. Either kayak over or hike down. Again, BRING WATER. Oh, and SUNSCREEN. We hiked the trail down and spent the morning and early afternoon snacking, sketching, and snorkeling. It can get crowded with tour boats but they eventually motor out, leaving you and the kayakers better able to view the delightful resident pod of dolphins.

  1. Feel like I’m back there. The spinner dolphins swam round and round us for 2 hours! Thanks for the memories.
