Portuguese Rectangles

How’s this for a holiday palette? I spontaneously bought bright orange and green paint one day and decided I’d use them together in a gelli print.

The check-out guy asked if I was painting Portuguese flags! Maybe subliminally that’s why I chose rectangular shapes?

  1. Fascinating. Maybe you’re remembering Portugal and how one day years ago your life took a new turn there, That particular shade of orange has more yellow in it than the usual holiday red — to my eye anyway. Puts it in a whole different category, How about a flag with these colors through the eyes of a five-year old who couldn’t do straight lines very well?

  2. I’m a sucker for red and green together, and for rectangles, so yay!
